INÊS GATO - PINTURA - ERICEIRA - PORTUGAL

Inês Gato was born in Lisbon in 1966.

She studied at António Arroio High School and graduated from AR-CO with a degree
in Graphic Design. She is also a graduate of ETIC where she studied Computer Design.
In 1992 she joins Central Press becoming Art Editor of a teenage magazine. One year
later she joins Grupo Forum as Art Editor of Cyber@net magazine, also renewing the layout of other group publications.
Inês started painting in oils in 1995. However she continued working as a designer in advertising agencies.
In 1999 she takes part in the team that was to launch the first Portuguese Biennal of Design - Experimentadesign99.

Exhibitions

2002 - First solo exhibition at the Herois Lounge in Chiado and participated in a collective exhibition at the Ars Pictorica Gallery.
2003 - She is invited by Oeiras City Hall to take part in the first edition of “ArteEstoril” - Contemporary Art Fair.
Second solo exhibition in “Lagar do Azeite Gallery”.
2004 - Was represented by “9arte Gallery”
2005 - Collective exhibition at the Tourist Office of Ericeira.
Was represented by "Arquê - ArtGallery"
2007 - Solo exhibition "Transformation" in "Arquê - ArtGallery".
2010 - Solo exhibition " Catharsis" in "Praça das Flores - Galeria" .
2011 - Was represented by "Art-Form" Gallery".
2012 - Solo exhibition Invited by "ArtinPark" in "Spazio Dual".
